The Wayward Post - #GoWayward
The Wayward Post, an online travel magazine, came to us looking for a 1-minute video to share on their social media channels to promote their brand and hashtag #GoWayward.
During our discovery phase, we learned their marketing team had three goals for the video:
- define and explain "Wayward" travel as travel that is fun, environmentally-friendly and sustainable
- excite travelers to engage on social media using their branded hashtag, #GoWayward, &
- appeal to millennial travelers with mid-range to upmarket budgets
We shot the footage for the video in Poland and Australia using actors engaging in travel experiences that are fun and local-driven. During editing stages, we selected and licensed music from the Australian band Oxblvd (now known as Twin Fires) as their indie rock sound amplified the fun element of the travel experiences depicted. We also collaborated with their copywriter to integrate copy that aligned the brand’s message with the video. In the end the video was a success.
